These companies can include refiners, chemical manufacturers, plastics companies, midstream, EPCs or end users. * Prepare, maintain, and execute a territory plan and ensure the plan reflects the priorities established in the business strategy. * Develop a pipeline of opportunities and achieve annual new business targets Keep aware of the business development activity and strategy of competitors, including their pricing trends and approaches. * Identify and research the feasibility of new market opportunities for current and future services that align with business strategy. * Be able to position the entire energy offerings – upstream, midstream and downstream – in addition to the petrochemical offerings. * Ensure all relevant CRM entries and transactions are completed Experience * The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the key issues that impact the petrochemical sector, with specific emphasis on olefins and aromatics. * They will have experience (7+ years) selling to the target community and ideally already have relationships with target firms plus an understanding of how and why they purchase and utilize market and asset analytics. * Candidate’s deep understanding of the global petrochemical industry will allow them to identify workflow needs as it relates to market and asset analytics. * The candidate will have a proven ability to develop relationships and be comfortable with challenging, yet achievable, sales targets.read here
